Motta is a suburban town
in western
Ethiopia, located in the misrag Gojjam zone of Amhara region on the
secondary
road that links Degien with Bahir dar overlooking the Blue Nile River. This town has a longitude and latitude of
9°15′N, 36°47′E.
Poor people
in these rural areas face a LACK
of basic social and economic infrastructure such as:-

- Veterinary Services
- Developed technologies
- Transport and Education.
Due to the
absence or scarcity of the above

central statistics agency, this suburban town has an estimated total
population
of 41,135 whom 18,619 are male and 22,516 are female.
One local
landmark is the church of Weyzazirt
Kidhane Mihret, which was constructed by Woizero Seble Wengel, the
daughter of
Emperor Fasildes (who made Gondor his capital in 1636). She and her
husband
are buried there.
